Adventurer Bear Grylls uses his military training and daring spirit to demonstrate extreme survival skills - everything from weathering a thunderstorm on a raft in the middle of the ocean and escaping down the side of an active volcano, to scavenging for and eating raw insects and many other local -and sometimes deadly -- delicacies. In this season, Bear Grylls comes face to face with extreme danger, unlike ever before, as he leads viewers through remote locations, including the desert islands of Panama, the deadly jungles of South-western China, Montana's Rocky Mountains, and Guatemala, sharing invaluable survival strategies all along the way. Bear meets with local experts, guides and rangers and shares the knowledge he gains through action in the extreme climates.
